The Sedro-Woolley STEM Network can be a game changer for our students, our economy and Skagit Valley.

WHAT IS STEM EDUCATION? It’s an interdisciplinary approach to learning where rigorous academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons as students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between school, community, work, and the global enterprise enabling the development of STEM literacy and with it the ability to compete in the new economy.

STEM education opens doors for every Sedro-Woolley and Skagit Valley student to succeed. And it allows our students to DREAM BIG.

OUR VISION:  All learners will acquire the knowledge, skills and experiences that will carry forward Sedro-Woolley’s century long tradition of innovation, excellence, and hard work into the future.

This is aligned with the Sedro-Woolley School District’s Road Map vision statement that “graduates will apply their knowledge and skills of communication, collaboration, critical thinking and life to become competent, productive, contributing citizens of the 21st century.”

THE GOAL: Every student succeeds. A thriving Sedro-Woolley with a terrific quality of life.  An amazing place to live, work and play.

We are passionate about helping every student succeed in the 21st Century. We aim to lead the STEM charge in Washington State, and serve as a model for innovative thinking and action.

Join us and pass along the power of STEM.
